It’s that time of year again! We are already half way through our UK season. The first half has been typically British; Challenging to say the least! However the weather has started to improve and summer seems to have finally turned up. In fact, it was so good that CFI Zebur Mercan managed to fly 134km from Wales back to Hinton Airfield in just 2.5 hours the other day! Let's take a look at what else has been going on...
SkyWeek France 1 in July was a big success. We had planned to run it in Northern France like last year but the forecast wasn’t looking good so we headed south to Burgundy and the Auvergne regions. You can see what we got up to by watching this film by Peter: SkyWeek France 1
Believe it or not this is SkySchool's 20th Anniversary. To celebrate this landmark we will be hosting an end of season BBQ at Hinton Airfield on Saturday 24th August. Weather permitting there will be a Spot Landing Competition for qualified Pilots, as well as the opportunity to test fly some of Ozone’s wings. Sam McConnell will also be giving a talk about our forthcoming SkyWeek Namibia Trips in March 2025 which have proven to be extremely popular! All are welcome to attend the BBQ. At the end of August we head off on SkyWeek France 2, which is fully booked, before heading down to Portugal for 4 weeks, followed by a further 4 weeks in Spain.
